about

08 My King (Hebrews 13:8, Revelation 4:8)
Though our last album, “Songs for a Broken City”, was a worship remix album, we decided to make this album more in the contemporary genre. Even with this in mind, we couldn’t help having at least one worship song, that song is this. My King is a very straight forward worship song of the wondrous attributes of God. In times of war He is our peace. In times of drought, He is our water. In times of hopelessness, He is our hope. This is why we sing praises to you my King, The same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. This is why we sing praises to you my King, Who was and is, and is to come.

lyrics

You are strength for the weak. And You are hope for the hopeless.
You are food to the hungry. And You are water to the thirsty.

This is why we sing praises to you my King,
The same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
This is why we sing praises to you my King,
Who was and is, and is to come.

You are truth to the lies. And You are light to the darkness.
You are life to the dead. And You are pure to all sin.

This is why we sing praises to you my King,
The same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
This is why we sing praises to you my King,
Who was and is, and is to come.

You are the Alpha and Omega. And You are the beginning and the end.
You are warmth for the cold. And You are peace for those at war.

This is why we sing praises to you my King,
The same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
This is why we sing praises to you my King,
Who was and is, and is to come.

This is why we sing praises to you my King,
The same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
This is why we sing praises to you my King,
Who was and is, and is to come.
